INTRODUCTION OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES BILL 2900 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES August 1, 2007 THAT, in view of the worrying trend of entrenchment of nepotism, favouritism and lack of a fair, transparent and balanced recruitment to all cadres of Public Service and bearing in mind that legal remedies for ensuring this balance are limited; this House grants leave for the introduction of a Bill entitled The Equal Opportunities Bill, 2007 to provide for fair, transparent and balanced recruitment, devoid of nepotism, favouritism or unfair ethnic considerations, to public sector and for matters incidental thereto and connected therewith."
