    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Mover of this Motion for bringing up a very important point of discussion to this House. It is common knowledge that police are working under very difficult conditions. In most areas, police officers still reside in colonial houses. I want to give you an example in my area. The police at Mtwapa Police Station are still living in mabati houses, 45 years after Independence. The police are also inadequately remunerated. Their terms of service still require a lot to be done. The Mover of this Motion has talked about the allowances that members of the police force do not get. They include risk, medical, extraneous allowances and so on."
