    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, last week, I happened to be in a team of Members of Parliament. Who visited our national research stations. I was very much impressed by what was going on particularly, in the field of bio-technology in the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. With the provision of a special fund under the New Deal, I think effective technologies such as the one I saw in JKUAT, the aspect of reproduction, tissue culture technology and genetic modification are a window of opportunity to many of our people, particularly the youth. I found that they have a very special programme where people are trained to take activities in various crop production methods. Such funds would be used to create more job opportunities in such areas as food production in this country. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support the Motion and I hope the Government will be able to support the same."
