The two of us will be the last in this House to pass a law that will kill democracy in this House, whether we are on the other side or this side of the House because we know where we are coming from. We know where we are coming from, having worked so hard and paid such a high price to bring democracy to this country. We must fight for it! I have lost a brother because of this and I am not prepared to lose more brothers in the Fourth Estate because a bad law is being made in this House. So, I plead with the other side; let us err on the side of caution than err on the side of speed that will drive us to a precipice of denying them democracy for which we have paid so dearly in the Republic of Kenya. With these few remarks, I beg to oppose."
