"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Minister for that answer. However, as you know, irrevocable promissory notes are documents that cannot be cancelled by one party. Therefore, the Government cannot say that it has cancelled them if the other party holding those documents somewhere in the world has not cancelled them. Is the Minister now in agreement that irrevocable promissory notes amounting to Kshs54.5 billion and not Kshs25.1 billion were, in fact, issued and that there is a schedule of repayment that goes up to 2013? One day, our grandchildren will be forced to pay the money whether this Government refuses to recognise that fact or not."
