    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Minister for attempting to bring to this House what she thinks is important for political parties in this country. However, let us look back at the history of this country and also the history of political evolution internationally. I think we should not lose sight by trying to dramatise what happened some years ago where people were being arrested for merely proposing to form a political party. That was enough to put somebody in detention! The issue here is whether we are still in that situation or not. In my view, if I were to advise this House, this Bill should not have been rushed to this House the way it is."
