This is followed by Machakos District with a shortage of 1,455 teachers. Why is it that in Ukambani we have a lot of teacher shortages? If you go to Makueni District, which is within the Eastern Province, there is a shortage of 1,313 teachers! How do you expect pupils from that province to pass examinations with that kind of teachers shortage?"
