My Ministry is committed to the development of sports in Kenya and it is for that reason that we have disbursed Kshs2 million towards upgrading of Kapkatet Stadium. The local community may further wish to sink additional funding from the Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) which I want to report that the area Member of Parliament, Mr. Sang, was in my office and promised to top up the amount. I want to thank him for that. The Local Authorities Transfer 546 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES April 11, 2007 Fund (LATF) and other sponsors can also chip in towards this development project."
