    "content": "We cannot be talking about the economy growing and so the welfare of Kenyans improving when this Government at its taking over the reigns of power, the price of a kilo of sugar, for example, was Kshs40. Today, the price of sugar is in excess of Kshs100 per kilo. So, where is this growth? Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as we talk about growth, the poverty level in this country still remains fixed at 57 per cent. So, what growth are we talking about if the poverty level in this nation has not changed? As we talk about growth in the economy, we are still listed among the top five countries the world over, in which income distribution is most unequal. So, where is this economic growth?"
