    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy, Speaker, lastly, with due respect, I want to talk about the issue of shortage of teachers. This is a real issue that we must tackle as a country. As a Committee we requested the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance to bring the same in the Supplementary Budget which should come by October. I do table the memorandum from the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) and Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) still asking Kenyans and this Parliament to consider the child of the poor. Let us employ teachers so that children in public schools can also compete favourably with children in private schools."
