    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, in principle, the Minister is saying the obvious, that the Central Bank shall be responsible for monetary policy, whereas he, as the Minister for Finance, is responsible for fiscal policy. But, ultimately, although the Governor of the December 7, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 4275 Central Bank is responsible for the monetary policy, he is answerable to the Minister because the Minister is the one who will be ultimately accountable for monetary policy as well, and answerable to this House. We are simply ensuring that the parliamentary system works, and that the Minister shall be responsible."
