"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you, for giving me this opportunity to give my views on this Motion of Adjournment. I stand to oppose the Motion because we have a lot of business in this House which the Government is trying to block Kenyans from accessing. I keenly listened to the Minister for Finance as he gave his contribution. From the look of things, he also seems to be in trouble because he does not know where his problems started so as to suggest that we should start talking to each other. We have too many problems to discuss about that. I wish to say that we have a lot to do in this House. We have the Political Parties Bill to discuss, and issues concerning the Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK) and other bodies which have been abused by the Government. Unless the Political Parties Bill is brought to this House for debate and enacted, this Government will continue to destroy political parties. Members of the Government are responsible for making phone calls to the Registrar of Societies and telling her what to do. She has been continuously getting calls from all quarters regarding which party should be registered and which one should not. We need to have a legislation governing that.
