    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am made to understand that this is the first time the river is overflowing. There is a drainage channel that is supposed to drain the water so that it does not overflow the bridge. Last year, the drainage channel was cleared by the District Works Officer. The DRC did not allocate money this year for the clearing of the drainage channel so that the water can pass through it in order not to overflow the bridge. So, the solution to this problem is to have the drainage channel cleared. It is only after that has been done, and we find that the drainage channel cannot cope with the amount of water, that we can look into the possibility of reconstructing the bridge."
