"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I just want to say one or two words. If this Bill is to give 4134 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES December 5, 2006 the witness the protection that we are looking for, then there must be sufficient funds to make sure that he is whisked away to some unknown destination quickly and looked after well wherever he is. The other day, in South Africa, there was a witness who gave evidence against the former Vice-President and immediately after the judgement, the witness was given money and taken to a country that we still do not know. I hope he is benefiting from the protection and the resources. I hope we have enacted this Bill with that in mind. We will have to use sufficient resources to protect the witness wherever we take him or her."
