    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Mariakani is an appropriate area for EPZ companies but due to lack of appropriate policies and support from the Government they could not be set up there because of poor infrastructure. However, this is an area where we can expand our boundaries and allow for expansion of the port. We are aware that there is a lot of idle land available in the Coast region which is under-utilised and not consolidated for proper trading. It is time that this House appreciated how important it is to bring a Free Port Bill to Parliament so that we can be able to have a concrete policy and framework where we can be able to manage our natural resource, and that is the port. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I do not want to take a lot of time because I believe this is an important Motion and my colleagues want to contribute as much as possible and support this Motion. I beg to move the Motion and I request hon. Khamisi to second."
