    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, in all districts in the country we are working with the District Education Boards (DEBs) to initiate some measures especially related to inspection. We need to do our best to support all schools. Secondly, we are also looking at the problem of management of our learning institutions and, where necessary, identifying the right managers to manager the institutions. More importantly, it is really the issue of inspection. We are, therefore, working closely with the DEBs to ensure that we do our very best. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are also providing resources for schools that fall within the pockets of poverty in this country. Machakos has a number of schools that fall within this category. We are also providing laboratory equipment for some of the schools. You will recall that, previously, we have been speaking about support for infrastructural development for two schools in every district as well as two schools under the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) initiative for ICT support. That does not cover nearly all the schools in the country. However, it is just the beginning and we hope to cover as many schools as possible."
