    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 8 of the Bill be amended- (a) in subclause (1) by deleting the words \"Refugee Status Determination Committee\" and substituting therefor the words \"Refugee Affairs Committee\"; (b) by inserting a new proviso to subclause (1) as follows- Provided at least one-third of the members of the Committee shall be women. (c) in subclause (2) by inserting the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (g)- (i) one representative from the Ministry responsible for finance or planning; (d) in subclause (3) by deleting paragraph (f) and substituting therefor the following new paragraph- (f) a representative of the Attorney-General; (e) by renumbering the second subclause (3) as subclause (4); (f) by deleting the renumbered subclause (4) and substituting therefor the following new subclause (4)- (4) The Committee may co-opt a member from the civil society and a member from the host community for the purpose of assisting and advising the Committee. Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, this clause was amended by my Committee. We held a workshop where we invited all the stakeholders. They are agreeable. The Minister himself attended that workshop and he is in favour of this amendment."
