"content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) The tarmacking of Rumuruti-Maralal Road will begin after the design of the road is complete. Invitation for tenders for the design review of the road was advertised in the local Press on 18th, November, 2005. However, there were no submissions from consultants by the time of tender opening on 18th, January, 2006, and it would be re-tendered this financial year. (b) The tarmacking of the 229-kilometre road from Maralal to Loiyangalani at Lake Turkana would be considered after the completion of the Rumuruti-Maralal Road."
