    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, cognizant of the fact that arid and semi-arid lands constitute about 80 per cent of Kenya's land mass; aware that arid and semi-arid lands are inhabited by about 10 million people; further aware that these arid and semi-arid lands contribute about 90 per cent of the country's meat production and have enormous potential for minerals; this House do grant leave to introduce an Arid and Semi- Arid Lands Development Bill which will guarantee channelling of investment capital in arid and semi-arid lands to increase Kenya's land productivity by involving residents of arid and semi-arid lands in Kenya's wealth creation. 3544 INTRODUCTION OF PRIVATISATION (AMENDMENT) BILL"
