"content": " Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, may I just draw the attention of the House to the fact that it had approved Clause 19 which was on Turnover Tax. Already, we had approved that there shall be Turnover Tax, but now we want to delete a clause that says where the rates for Turnover Tax will be. I wish to reiterate that Clause 25 has two parts namely, (a) and (b). This afternoon, here in this House, we approved that there shall be a Turnover Tax, but that particular tax has not been defined where it will be. The rate of the Turnover Tax is, however, defined in Clause 25. Let us look at it this way: Clause 25 is in between the Turnover Tax and the Capital Gains Tax in terms of stating where the rate will be. Now, the rate is in the schedule which this House can actually amend and put it to zero. The effect of that is that there will be no Capital Gains Tax. 3570 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES November 9, 2006"
