    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, this is the only industry that is owned by someone from Mt. Kenya East and we do not understand the hostility being exhibited by the Minister over this taxation. If you can have three categories of cigarettes and there levels of taxation are increased equally, nobody would have complained. We are surprised that the Minister is now becoming the advocate for BAT, that they are going to suffer and yet they never came before the Committee to complain. We urge the House to ignore the plea by the Minister and go by the proposal to support the amendment by Dr. Oburu."
