    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the charges we provide when one applies for electricity depends on the distance from the supply unit to where it is required. It is not a standard amount of Kshs31,500. One could be near a supply unit and be asked for Kshs8,000 and so on. However, I would like to assure the hon. Member that, as a Government and a Ministry, we are working on a policy in which when one is asked to pay a deposit, its paymnet can be spread over 12 months. In this way, it would be easier for our people to access electricity."
