    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, given the on-going crisis in the national universities; noting the contradictory statements given by the Government in Parliament and at various Press briefings; realising that there is an urgent need to promote dialogue that will help solve the crisis within the bounds of law; and, in the interest of the public good, this House doth now adjourn to discuss this crisis at the public universities, occasioned by the strike of the University Academic Staff Union (UASU) as a matter of national importance in accordance to Standing No.20. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I will give a brief background to this crisis. However, this crisis affects the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenyatta University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Egerton University, Moi University and Maseno University."
