(a) I am fully aware that the section of the road between Ntulele and Narok on the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road is full of potholes and is now a source of danger and frustration to motorists. (b) All the necessary plans have been put in place for the reconstruction of the above mentioned section of the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road. The work for the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road has been awarded to M/s Maitauro Adriano Joint Venture at a contract sum of Kshs3.8 billion for complete reconstruction. The reconstruction works are scheduled to commence by the end of this month. The contract period is 30 months. At the moment, my Ministry has allocated Kshs24 million from the Fuel Levy Fund for the road's maintenance until the reconstruction works start."
