(a) My Ministry will honour the promise made by the Government in early 2005 to bituminize Mate Road, which is commonly known us Ena-Ishiara-Meru Road. Already, the design has been completed for bitumenization. We are going to advertise next month for construction work. (b) My Ministry has ensured that there is equitable allocation of funds for road works in the country. The fuel levy funds are distributed on a prorata basis as per the Kenya Roads Board Act."
