    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, when the KCB appointed the receiver managers who declared all the workers redundant on 30th September, 1999, the Kenya Engineering Workers Union (KEWU) representing the workers, disputed the redundancy and reported a trade dispute leading to the appointment of an investigator to look into the dispute. The report released to the parties stipulated that all the workers be paid their redundancy benefits."
