    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, under the Northern Corridor Improvement Programme, we will relocate the weighbridges. Also, to ensure that corruption at 2250 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES July 20, 2006 weighbridges is done away with, we intend to privatise them, so that we do not have two Ministries handling them as it is now. We have officers from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works on the one hand, and the police who fall under the Office of the President, on the other hand. The police are the ones who control the traffic. Therefore, the Office of the President has no total control of the weighbridges and neither do we in the Ministry of Roads and Public Works have it."
