The Government appointed a task force whose main terms of reference were to ascertain the genuine number of displaced persons and loss of land occasioned by the tribal clashes. It was also supposed to recommend modalities of resettlement of the said persons. The work of the task force has taken longer than expected due to logistical challenges. However, it is expected that the report will be released soon to enable the settlement of all the people displaced during the clashes, including the ones displaced from Miteitei, if any."
