    "content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) I am not aware that the Municipal Council of Ruiru does not have a dumping site. But I am aware that the current dumping site, as it stands, is an environmental hazard and a health risk to the nearby residents. (b) The council appointed a sub-committee on 9th June, 2005 to look for an alternative dumping site with an offer to purchase the land. Meanwhile, the council has resolved to rehabilitate the dumping site by putting in place mechanisms to make it less risky in terms of the health of the residents, and more environmentally-friendly by fencing the site and use of chemicals to reduce the smell."
