(a) I am aware that the Kiriani-Kiambuthia-Kairo Road which also serves Kiru Tea Factory was last gravelled in 2003 under the El-Nino Emergency Project. (b) The 10 kilometre road is classified as Class D. The road, therefore, falls under the District Roads Committee (DRC). In this regard, therefore, the DRC needs to prioritize it in its work-plan so that it is considered for design and improvement to bitumen standard."
