This is done through various means, including Questions, Ministerial Statements and Committee inquiries and investigations. This is the norm the world over. The reason is founded in the fact that Parliament is composed of people directly elected to represent the people in a country. Parliamentarians are, therefore, the eyes and ears of the citizens."
