"content": "Hon. Members, we have another Question that was deferred as a result of similar matters. You will recall that on Thursday, 30th March, 2006, a Question by Private Notice by the hon. Member for Makadara Constituency, Mr. Reuben Ndolo, was listed in the Order Paper to be answered by the Minister for Tourism and Wildlife. The Question read as follows:- (a) What are the terms of the agreement between the Government of Kenya and Thailand over the sale of elephants, lions and giraffes to Thailand? (b) What are the long-term benefits for Kenya in the deal? (c) Could the Minister confirm that the necessary procedures were followed before the agreement was signed? In response, the Assistant Minister for Tourism and Wildlife, Mr. Kalembe Ndile, pleaded 1372 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES June 14, 2006"
