    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this Motion. I rise to support the Motion on the two reports on the Pan African Parliament. The father of Pan Africanism, the late Kwame Nkurumah, once stated: \"Seek yee the political kingdom first and all shall be open to you.\" The late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga also said that a journey of 1,000 miles begins with one step. I believe that in creating the Pan African Parliament, African Governments have made the first step towards Pan Africanism. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is very important to appreciate the fact that, in June 14, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 1385 Africa, we need to be together because we have got many problems. The problems of poverty, health and conflicts cannot be gainsaid because they are happening all over Africa, including Kenya."
