"content": " Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, if we delete this clause - and I sincerely understand where Mr. Mungatana comes from - you will merely facilitate political shenanigans that have caused us very many problems. Clause 70 is such a long clause. It has subclauses 1, 2, 3, all the way to 8. I would have expected that he looks at one particular area and protects the worries that he has. Look at Clause 70(5) which says that a person who hires, borrows or uses for the purpose of conveying voters to and from a poll, any vehicle, vessel or animal or transport of any kind whatsoever which he knows the owner thereof is prohibited by Subclause (3), commits an offence. Therefore, I would like to try to persuade Mr. Mungatana, that this thing has caused this country enormous difficulties, because most candidates just use this method. They transport not only voters during voter registration, but also during voting. I want to persuade the hon. Member to withdraw his amendment."
