    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has not taken this Question seriously because there are numerous complaints from members of the public to the effect that they are being asked to pay Kshs5,000 in order for their cases to be heard. The documents from the Kitharene Adjudication Section have been transferred to the headquarters without following the law. Right now, illegal transfers of land, based on the documents from Kitharene Adjudication Section, are going on in Maua. That section was closed before the process was completed. What are we supposed to do when an Assistant Minister answers a Question like this? The Assistant Minister has said that he is not aware of corruption among the Ministry of Lands officials in the area, and yet it is clear that the vice exists. Could he appoint a special committee to investigate cases of corruption in Maua and take action? This is because corruption will render many people in Meru North District landless."
