    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to confirm to the hon. Questioner that this time round, the Government is serious about privatising Telkom Kenya. The programme of retrenchment is already on course and about 2,000 staff, between March and June, 2006, have already gone home. By the end of the year, all the planned 11,000 staff will be retrenched. In that process, Telkom Kenya will start saving about Kshs4 billion per annum. By the end of April, 2007, the privatisation process should be through."
