    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise on a point of order to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Education with regard to the implementation of salary increments for teachers, who actually play a critical role in nurturing our children. The Ministry should come out and state to the House and the nation that when they entered into the collective bargaining agreement in 2003, they promised, among other things, that upon the improvement of the economy, the teachers would be paid their salaries in full. Now that the economy grew at the rate of 5.8 per cent, I want the Minister to come out and tell the nation when the teachers, who are a critical mass in this country, are going to have their salary increment implemented in full. Secondly, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we need to avert a crisis before it happens. I am aware that the Union is actually working to campaign to bring the education sector---"
