    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I want to make my 1186 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES May 7, 2006 contribution in support of this Motion. It is in history that at Independence, we had very large and few districts in this country. At that time, the population of this country was about 9 million but today, we are almost 40 million. Since then, the population of this country has increased by, at least, four times. If districts are units that are supposed to help the Government in the delivery of services to its citizens, then we should have, at least, four times the number of districts we had at Independence."
