However, what this law is proposing is that you may have a situation where two polling stations because of whatever reasons, the election has been disrupted at that particular point and the returning officer is not able to proceed with the process but then you have maybe in that area 20 or 100 registered voters. The returns that are already in the tallying centre are in their thousands. The results are obvious by the nature of the way it is. Why should we stop the election results being announced because of a polling station where chaos have been created and there is material number of votes? So, this should one should not delay the results. Let us say that number (iv), we oppose it, but the first part we accept it."
