"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I rise to oppose the amendment. I think it is important for Members to understand the context in which this Clause has been brought into this Bill. The intention is to address the very serious problem of drugs. If you read carefully, it is where a person gives a substance with the intention to stupefy or overpower that person in order to have sex. I would like the Member for Ikolomani to know that even pharmacists who give drugs knowing that they are meant to overpower other people to commit sexual acts must be treated as criminals. The fact that you are a doctor of medicine cannot excuse you from giving drugs to other people for them to use for such activity. So, let us keep our eyes on the ball. This is about drugs. It is not possible to say that these things do not happen. With those remarks, I beg to oppose the amendment."
