(b) inserting a new subclause immediately after Subclause(4) as follows:- (5) This section shall not apply in respect to persons who are lawfully married to each other. 1104 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES May 31, 2006 Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, the rationale for all these amendments, especially the introduction of Paragraph 5 is specifically to protect and safeguard the marriage institution. This will also give a provision to what is the offence rather than what appears in the provisions as they are now."
