In arriving at the proposed amendment, the Committee conducted whole sessions with various auctioneers belonging to different associations. It became apparent that, so as to properly manage and control the practice and discipline of auctioneers, it is necessary that they are brought under one umbrella association. It is for that reason that, that amendment was generated."
