The licensing and control of lotteries is governed by the Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act, Cap 131, of the Laws of Kenya. The Act empowers the Betting Control and Licensing Board to impose such conditions as it may deem necessary to ensure that lotteries are promoted and conducted efficiently."
