The action taken by Government was the arraignment in court to answer corruption charges of three Permanent Secretaries, three senior civil servants, the Managing Trustee of NSSF and his deputy, and the Directors of Euro Bank. The CID had, before the reference of the dossier to the President, completed investigations into one case; the supply of 520 vehicles to the Kenya Police, and was already investigating one other case, the procurement of tugboat by the Kenya Ports Authority. The former of these cases has resulted in the prosecution of the Managing Director of Hyundai Motors Ltd---"
