These are companies that offer inspection services to the public, or to any interested party. They are contracted by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS); when Kenyans import second hand vehicles these companies then inspect those vehicles for conformity to our standards, for quality and so on. It is part of a larger programme of pre-shipment inspection of conformity because all goods entering the Kenyan market must conform to Kenyan standards. I thank you."
