I have looked at the amendment in a very short time and I did not, before this Sitting, have adequate opportunity to look at the import of the proposed amendment. But I have, for as long as I have been sitting here, been able to do so. The import of the amendment is such that it will in its three parts negative the effect of the Motion. The Motion by the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs asks the House to adopt its Report which has the effect of rejecting the proposed nominees to the positions of Chairperson and Members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission laid on the Table of the House on Wednesday 14th December, 2011."
