"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, that is also a very important question, because tourism cannot prosper without proper basic infrastructure, one of them being roads. We have worked very well with the Ministry of Roads. We have seen quite a number of roads going to major tourism sites being improved. The Mai Mahiu-Narok Road has been improved. I know that the road from Narok to Maasai Mara is being worked on and the Member of Parliament has been very aggressive in following up that particular matter. We are really looking into it. I want to assure the hon. Member that we will continue to work closely with the Ministry of Roads to ensure that all roads leading to major tourist sites are properly taken care of and maintained. However, I also want to urge the hon. Members that we are now focusing on regionalizing tourism, so that you can market our tourism at the regional level and even abroad. Now that we have devolved governments, we want to urge all counties to begin to identify their tourism sites and work directly with the Ministry of Tourism and KTB so that we can package your site as a region so that by the time the county governments come into place, you can be ahead of others in terms of marketing your regions."
