Member and add that, while those projects may be good, it would, indeed, appear like there was no prior consultations with the affected community. Even the magnitude of the project, as the hon. Member has rightly pointed out, is going to displace more than 40,000 people ostensibly to help protect the lives of people affected by floods, who are just about 15,000. Maybe, the intended cost of that project should be re-thought; the money meant for that project should be used to settle the 15,000 people that the project was intended to protect."
