Article 69 of the Constitution is very clear; it provides that the State will ensure equitable sharing of the accrued benefits from natural resources with the local communities. Could the Assistant Minister inform the House what the Government is doing to operationalise or to bring to life that particular article of the Constitution to ensure that the local communities get benefits from the natural resources within their surroundings in terms of law or policy?"
