    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, as we continue engaging stakeholders on the best way to deal with the current challenges which have led to high interest rates, I would like to urge hon. Members to consider passing the Finance Bill, 2011, when brought before the House for debate and without amendment to the Banking Act that proposes capping of interest rates charged by the banks. I would also like to add that since this Statement was prepared, the Ministry is now ready to proceed with the Bill and we have asked the House Business Committee to prioritize the Finance Bill for passing by this House."
